Cherus is the Hebrew word for Freedom.
We are a network of Chabad Rabbis who are servicing Jewish recovering addicts, by creating Jewish Recovery Communities and serving as Recovery Rabbis.
Our goal is to help Jewish recovering addicts obtain and maintain recovery while integrating the spiritual Twelve-Step approach with a greater understanding and appreciation of Judaism
We currently offer a virtual Jewish Recovery Community online at www.finallyfree.org, where Rabbi Yisrael Pinson and Rabbi Ben A. post daily thoughts on recovery and Judaism. Participants can comment on the posts or submit original material.
We offer training and guidance to Chabad Shluchim worldwide who are interested in servicing recovering addicts in their communities.
